The heart and soul of Rankin Creek Custom Cycles belongs to Lee Myers and Donnie Coffey.
Lee started with dirt bikes as a kid and graduated to building choppers. He was also a big lifted up truck guy in the '80's, consistently winning awards for his work. With a few of his friends getting Harleys, Lee decided to get himself one. It wasn’t long after getting it he realized it looked just like all the others, so he had to make his stand out from the crowd. He was one of the first to take a standard Harley frame and fit it with a “Fat Tire”. After “wowing” everyone with that look. He decided he wanted to go bigger with the rear tire and could only do that with an aftermarket frame, and his bike building began with 2 award winning choppers. |
With a keen sense of motorcycle trends, Lee was one of the first in the area to build a big wheel custom bagger before there were any parts available. Instead, he built his own.
His work has been featured both on the cover of Bagger magazine and in Hot Bike. Lee’s team at Rankin Creek Custom Cycles is made up of Donnie Coffey who helps with fabrication, assembly, electrical and sound. Donnie has been with Lee since Rankin Creek started. Also on staff is Jeremiah Marshall, who does most of the precision welding on Rankin Creeks custom frames and one off parts. Handling the custom body work for all the one off modifications is Richard Dooms. He stays busy with all the fender mods, tank extentions, and bag and side cover customization since not much of what comes out of Rankin Creek Custom Cycles stays stock. This small team ensures nothing falls through the cracks due to lack of communication, like a big assembly line type shop. |
Here at Rankin Creek Custom Cycles, we are big enough to handle your custom build
and small enough to WANT TO.
